Everything You Need For HDMI 2.0 And DisplayPort 1.2

Have you ever stopped for a second to appreciate the fact that 4K60 4:4:4 means pushing through 6 gigabits per second on a single wire pair? A few years ago this data rate was only imaginable inside a processor chip and signals only travelled a few millimetres at most. Today with HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.2, we are sending these signals hundreds of meters away.

When dealing with these high frequencies, our PCB designers must pay special attention to maintaining signal integrity to ensure that downstream devices still have recognizable video and audio data to work with. This means minimizing noise, crosstalk, electromagnetic interference, attenuation and reflection. Thanks to the devotion of our engineers, all of Lightware’s HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.2 devices pass the HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.2 compliance tests with flying colours.

In this training you can learn about the important role that signal integrity plays in managing and extending HDMI 2.0 and DP 1.2 signals. Then you can get familiar with the special features of our HDMI 2.0 over fiber extender families, the Plug&Play OPTJ and the robust&rental-proof OPTC. Finally, you can get to know the members of the versatile MX2 matrix family where I/O sizes range from 4×4 to 48x48 and I/O configurations include full HDMI 2.0, full DP 1.2 and hybrid HDMI 2.0 + DP 1.2.

After the presentation, a live demonstration that includes OPTJ, OPTC and a hybrid HDMI/DisplayPort MX2 matrix is also provided.
