Alongside zero-latency image and sound transmission, it has also become a top priority for the participants to see and hear exactly the presenter who is currently talking, making it even more realistic for online members as well.
Lightware's award-winning technologies, in conjunction with well-known voice tracking solutions on the market, offer a truly unique premium service for their users. Choose our customizable and brand-independent ecosystem and enjoy automatic and invisible room control in any size auditorium.
Why Is Voice Tracking So Crucial?
Meeting Equity for All
It is important to treat remote participants as equal parties during a meeting, as if they were physically present. If a dialogue arises between two participants who are not physically in the same place, thanks to voice tracking technology, they can feel as if they are having a conversation with each other.
Shows the One Who Needs to Be Shown
Voice tracking solution can operate in a way that displays the participants of the meeting, but depending on customization, it can also follow the presenter themselves. For example, in an educational setting, it could track the teacher, providing a more dynamic and engaging experience for the audience.
Protection Against Extreme Scenarios
The system is protected against rapid alternation of camera angles in case two participants engage in an intense debate. In such situations, it frames the entire space, allowing a full view of the meeting room. The same occurs when no one is speaking.
Working with Multiple Cameras Simultaneously
The solution can handle three cameras simultaneously, but this capability can and will be further expanded in the future. Currently, the fixed camera displays the entire room, while the PTZ camera focuses on the specific individual. The system operates based on presets that need to be configured during installation for various layouts. Once you set it up, you can focus on the person who is speaking.
No more boring presentations, just a perfect user experience
Currently, the system operates with cameras using the VISCA protocol, but there are plans to enable compatibility with cameras utilizing the UVC and E-PTZ protocols in the future.
The voice tracking offered by Lightware goes beyond the traditional and well-established Taurus + LARA solution, providing additional capabilities, e.g. seamless switching of USB and HDMI camera signals.
Lightware’s Collaboration Partners
Lightware and Yamaha collaborated to create a cutting-edge audio-visual solution that enhances the user experience in meeting rooms with high efficiency and immersion. The integration’s main components are a Lightware Taurus UCX/TPX and MMX2 matrix switcher, a Yamaha RM-CG ceiling microphone and a PTZ camera, that can be controlled via Visca protocol.
